Mount Sinai Military Family Health Services
Our Mount Sinai Military Family Health Services help our community’s Veterans and military personnel get quick and easy access to top doctors and medical services. Veterans make one simple call to our program, and our coordinator will listen to your needs, suggest the right doctors, and make all appointments for you. We integrate multiple services across the Mount Sinai Health System in order to personalize the best care plan for each patient. With a respectful and understanding staff, our program is a “safe zone” of trust and transparency for our Veterans, military personnel, and their families.
Whether you have an ongoing condition (like high blood pressure) or a new symptom (like a sore leg), we coordinate services among Mount Sinai’s highly-skilled physicians to get you rapid access to the right care. Depending on your needs, we provide a wide range of top services in these areas:
- Primary care
- Specialty medicine in a variety of areas
- Inpatient medicine
- Preventive medicine, such as health screenings
Mount Sinai Military Family Health Services integrates services from many Mount Sinai departments, including Mount Sinai Doctors Faculty Practice, case management services, medical and surgical services, and spiritual services. We also offer expertise from specialized programs, such as the Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center, the Brain Injury Research Center, Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation, and the Center for Post-COVID Care.
Through the coordination of all these services, we make sure our Veterans, military personnel and their families have the care they need to enjoy long-term wellness.
Mount Sinai Military Family Health Services was developed with Mount Sinai Doctors Faculty Practice and Mount Sinai Access Services, and Mount Sinai is affiliated with the James J. Peters Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in the Bronx. The “Bronx VA” offers primary care and specialty health services, such as cardiology, amputation care, mental health care, transplant surgery, spinal cord injury, pain management, palliative and hospice care, and more.
