Creating Excellence Together

At Mount Sinai, our approach is not just about providing exceptional patient care; it’s about making it better every day.

Our nurses are lifelong knowledge-seekers on a constant journey of growth and education as they see the breadth of opportunity available to them across the profession. Our nurses are also groundbreakers, leading initiatives through the Center for Nursing Research and Innovation to identify and develop creative ways to improve patient care.

Our Programs and Initiatives

Our nurses seek demanding work in order to challenge themselves toward becoming ever greater clinicians. The Mount Sinai Health System is committed to supporting our nurses through programs and initiatives, such as the following:

  • Vizient/AACN Nurse Residency Program: In partnership with The Mount Sinai Hospital, Mount Sinai West, Mount Sinai Morningside, Mount Sinai Queens, and Mount Sinai Brooklyn, this 12-month program provides resources to help our new nurses gain confidence and increase competence. As a newly licensed nurse at Mount Sinai, you will receive mentoring from an experienced nurse, build relationships with peers, and participate in engaging learning experiences in a supportive environment. The Mount Sinai School of Nursing also supports our new graduates with the Vizient Nurse Residency Program. While not through the New York City program, we partnered directly with Vizient to launch the program in 2019.
