Neurology
At The Mount Sinai Hospital Department of Neurology, our highly skilled neurologists and specialized staff work every day to improve the lives of patients with a wide range of neurological disorders. Our Department comprises a network of specialized centers and programs, each providing complete care for a particular condition, including epilepsy, headache, stroke, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, brain and spinal tumors, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), and neuromuscular disease.
With an inpatient neurology service that opened in 1900, our Department is now home to multidisciplinary teams of experts—including neurologists, psychiatrists, neuropsychologists, and neuroscientists—who recognize that each patient is different, and work together to design the right treatment plan for your individual needs.
In addition to our clinical services, we are also heavily involved in conducting innovative research to uncover the causes of neurological disorders and discover better ways to treat them. Our goal is to help today’s patients enjoy life to the fullest, and to seek new and better therapies for tomorrow.
Our participation in Get With The Guidelines®/Mission: Lifeline® demonstrates our commitment to quality care. We are proud to be a part of the American Heart Association’s® efforts to turn guidelines into lifelines.
