About Mount Sinai Ambulatory Care
We are here for you. From the very start, Mount Sinai’s mission has been to provide excellent health care to all. We have become one of the world’s leading centers of excellence in medical care, research, and education. At the Department of Ambulatory Care, we remain dedicated to meeting the health care needs of New Yorkers, as well as those of people far beyond the city’s borders. We help everyone, regardless of economic, ethnic, or cultural background.
We maintain a network of outpatient care practices throughout Manhattan. Most of them are based in one of our eight hospitals. We also have practices in some public schools and freestanding facilities. Each of the outpatient practices has its own set of offerings. Overall, Mount Sinai Ambulatory Care offers a wide range of high quality care. This includes primary care (basic health care services such as routine checkups and management of chronic diseases) and specialty medical services.
We accept most insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid. If you don’t have insurance, we will work with you to make special arrangements.
Delivering Outstanding Outpatient Care
Mount Sinai Ambulatory Care practices include: pediatrics (treatment of children from birth to age 21), adult primary care, geriatrics (services for older patients), ophthalmology, dentistry, obstetrics and gynecology, kidney (dialysis), primary care for HIV/AIDS patients, palliative care (to improve quality of life in patients facing serious or life-threatening illness), rehabilitation medicine (treatment for those with conditions that limit performance of life skills), and medical and surgical specialties (highly specialized care for adults and children with a wide range of diseases and conditions).
We are known for offering:

In addition, we offer programs to help you lead a healthy lifestyle and manage chronic diseases. Our programs help you handle high blood pressure (hypertension) and diabetes; assist with stopping smoking and alcohol addiction; and learning about safe sex practices.
At each location, we have a team of doctors, nurses, and other highly skilled health care professionals.
We have English and Spanish-speaking medical providers and staff on site. We can provide translation services for people who do not speak English or have visual or hearing impairments.
We offer a sliding-scale fee for uninsured individuals. We also provide low-cost or free services through several grant-funded programs. Please call the specific practice for more information.
We accept most insurance plans but not all offices take all plans. Please contact the location related to the service area of interest and double-check that we take your insurance, or call the appropriate number relating to the service area billing department on the Your Visit page.
