Nursing Research Day 2026: The Value of Nursing Research

Nurses bring value to health care organizations not only as skilled clinicians, but also as innovators who advance patient care in ways that improve outcomes and lower costs. As part of the national conversation about reimagining the economic value of nurses in the healthcare system, this event will highlight the value of research and innovation projects conducted by nurses in clinical settings.

This year's keynote address will be delivered by Olga Yakusheva, PHD, MSPE, FAAN, Professor of Nursing at the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing. The event will also feature project presentations by the Phillips School of Nursing Evidence-Based Practice Fellows and by clinical nurses across the Mount Sinai Health System; an all-day digital poster display; and information sessions on programs, initiatives, and resources for clinical nurses.

Nursing Research Day 2026 will take place on Friday, November 6, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. ET at The Mount Sinai Hospital’s Stern Auditorium. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. To register to attend, click here.
