Mount Sinai International to Address African Heads of State, Health Ministers, and Pan-African Health Care Leaders at WHX Leaders World Health Expo in Ghana

Leaders of Mount Sinai International, the international ventures arm of the Mount Sinai Health System in New York, will join health care leaders from across Africa to discuss health care infrastructure development and service delivery on the continent at the inaugural WHX Leaders World Health Expoin Accra, Ghana, Tuesday-Wednesday, December 9-10.   

Presented by His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, President of Ghana, this year’s theme of the WHX Leaders World Health Expo is Catalyzing Africa’s health revolution through investment, innovation, impact, and infrastructure.” The event will bring together African heads of state, health ministers, policymakers, and public-private pioneers to collaborate, strategize, and unlock Africa’s health care potential.  

Engaging, Interactive Sessions 

WHX Leaders will include keynote sessions addressing health care challenges and opportunities on the African continent, as well as panel discussions offering insightful and interactive opportunities for debate and actionable solutions. Szabi Dorotovics, MD, MBA, President of Mount Sinai International, will participate in a focal panel on Tuesday, December 9, at 2-3 pm local time (EST), titled “Investing in Centers of Excellence: Reclaiming Africa’s Medical Expertise.” This session will examine the strategies needed to develop world-leading health care centers of excellence in Africa, reducing medical tourism and enhancing local health care capacity.
