Dr. Deepak Bhatt named director of Mount Sinai Heart
Deepak Bhatt, MD, MPH, has been named Director of Mount Sinai Heart, where he will lead the educational, research, and clinical cardiovascular work of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and the Mount Sinai Health System beginning Thursday, December 1. He will also serve as the Dr. Valentin Fuster Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine, the first physician to hold this endowed professorship. He said, “I am very excited to take on this leadership role at Mount Sinai Heart, one of the best cardiovascular centers in the world for clinical care, research, and education. I am humbled to be named the Dr. Valentin Fuster Professor - it is a singular honor in the world of medicine that is unmatched.”
