"Mount Sinai Elects Dr. Joshua Safer As First Ever Executive Director Of Transgender Medicine Center" - Anuja Vaidya
Mount Sinai Health System appointed Joshua Safer, MD, the inaugural executive director of its Center for Transgender Medicine and Surgery. In addition to serving as executive director, Dr. Safer will serve as a senior faculty member at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. An endocrinologist, he is president of the United States Professional Association for Transgender Health as well as the steering committee co-chair of TransNet, the international transgender research consortium. The Center for Transgender Medicine and Surgery is the first-of-its-kind in New York and aims to provide transgender patients with an integrated care delivery system.
