Transgender females on feminizing hormone therapy did not experience a rise in prolactin levels, a new study found. "It may be unnecessary to monitor prolactin in patients receiving this treatment," said lead author Joshua Safer, MD, executive director of the Center for Transgender Medicine and Surgery at Mount Sinai and senior faculty of endocrinology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
