At Mount Sinai West, we offer inpatient palliative care services through an interdisciplinary consultation team. Our palliative care program offers an added layer of support for you and your family when you need it most. The program treats the emotional, social, and physical problems that may occur during treatment. Palliative care may help you deal with uncomfortable symptoms, medication and treatment side effects, and complex medical decision making. We act as your advocate and support during the challenges of a hospitalization. Our team approach allows individualized care for each patient and their families.

Inpatient Palliative Care

Our consultation team is available to all hospitalized patients at Mount Sinai West. The inpatient program ensures that seriously ill patients and families are informed and in control of their treatment options.

You or your loved ones will be cared for by our team, which includes our physician, Katherine Mark, MD, a nurse practitioner, and a Registered Nurse.

We also offer chaplaincy services and music, pet, and art therapy.
