Mount Sinai Health System Opens Peakpoint Central Nassau Surgery Center, Expanding Access to Advanced Surgical Care Across Long Island
Modern facility offers cutting-edge care in wide range of specialties, expanding care throughout the Long Island region
Mount Sinai Health System, one of New York City’s largest academic medical systems, today announced the opening of Peakpoint Central Nassau Surgery Center, a 20,400-square-foot ambulatory surgical center, in Carle Place.
The state-of-the-art facility offers advanced care in gastroenterology, gynecology, ophthalmology, orthopedic and spine surgery, otolaryngology, pain management, plastic surgery, podiatry, and urology, transforming access to outpatient surgical care across Long Island.
Peakpoint Central Nassau Surgery Center is a joint venture between Mount Sinai, leading surgeons, and Merritt Healthcare, an industry leader in ambulatory surgery centers. Equipped with two operating rooms, two procedure rooms, and 17 recovery bays, including three private and three 23-hour stay rooms, the surgery center is equipped with the latest surgical technology and can manage both routine and complex procedures.
