The Mount Sinai Hospital hosted its fifth annual Push-Up Challenge last week. September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month and this friendly competition is aimed at encouraging people to live a healthy lifestyle. Studies show even moderate exercise helps improve a man’s chance of surviving prostate cancer. “Why not combine an exercise discussion with a prostate cancer discussion? In men, if they exercise, they have a better outcome after prostate cancer treatment,” said Ash Tewari, MBBS, MCh, professor and system chair of urology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
