Emily and Len Blavatnik have donated $10 million to establish the Blavatnik Family Women's Health Research Institute at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and The Blavatnik Family – Chelsea Medical Center at Mount Sinai, at 325 W. 15th St. Dr. Elizabeth Howell, vice chair of research and professor of obstetrics, gynecology and reproductive science at Icahn, is the founding director of the institute. It will focus on ovarian and endometrial cancers, postpartum depression and maternal mortality and morbidity.
