Tiger Woods remains sidelined as he recovers from back surgery, which at least one prominent spine specialist believes could bring the formerly top-ranked golfer to his knees. "He’s progressing and probably doing everything smart to make sure that when he gets back, he stays back," said Andrew Hecht, MD, Associate Professor of Orthopaedics and Neurosurgery, and Co-Chair of Spine Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
