A Harlem woman who waged a monthlong, life-or-death struggle with coronavirus was sent home from the hospital Monday after a full recovery her doctors called “a triumph.” Janet Mendez, 33, spent nearly half her time at Mount Sinai Morningside in Manhattan breathing with the aid of a ventilator as doctors fought to keep her alive, according to hospital workers.
