May is Bladder Cancer Awareness month and for actress Marilu Henner, the disease hit very close to home. Her husband Michael Brown was diagnosed more than 13 years ago and is now in remission.
Matthew Galsky, MD, director of genitourinary medical oncology at The Tisch Cancer Institute at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, shared, "Bladder cancer is a common disease, it is the fourth common cause of cancer diagnosed in men in the United States and is not a death sentence When diagnosed in early stages bladder cancer is highly curable."
