If your child has a heart rhythm issue, or arrhythmia, you’re worried and want to get the best treatment. Our experienced team of children’s heart specialists will take care of your child. And, we ease your concerns.
Children’s Heart Center is an alliance between Mount Sinai and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). Here in New York City, we provide world-class electrophysiology services to diagnose and treat heart rhythm disorders (arrhythmias).
Barry Love, MD, an expert in the management of complex heart rhythm problems, leads our electrophysiology service. At Children’s Heart Center, we treat all forms of arrhythmia. Our patients are all ages—from before birth and newborns to adolescents and adults with congenital (present at birth) heart disease.
Electrophysiology is the specialty for the evaluation and treatment of heart rhythm problems. Dr. Love and his team evaluate arrhythmias using the most refined testing procedures, such as ECGs, heart rhythm monitors, and exercise testing. Most testing is non-invasive. We can even conduct these tests from the comfort of your home. If we detect a serious arrhythmia, we will explain the condition thoroughly to you.
We also explain what we can do about it. Treatments for arrhythmias vary. We use state-of-the-art techniques, such as advanced electrophysiology testing and ablation. Ablation is a minimally invasive technique that can permanently cure many arrhythmias.
