We all say that we are addicted to donuts or candy. There’s actually scientific evidence that proves this might be true. Highly processed, fatty, sugary foods can cause addicting patterns and are becoming more problematic in people’s lives. “According to the study that we conducted, we found that it was the foods that were most identified as being particularly problematic and associated with addictive like eating were things such as pizza, chocolate, chips, cookies and ice cream. Those were really the top 5,” says Nicole Avena, PhD, a researcher from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
