Thomas Fuchs, DSc, discusses Mount Sinai Health System's artificial intelligence priorities moving into 2023. He said, “[A diverse patient population is] specifically important if you want to build AI that's not only safe and effective, as it should be in a regulated setting, but that's also equitable. That [AI] is used for all patients with all kinds of backgrounds, and for that, it's important that the systems are built, trained and tested, and validated on a very diverse patient population.”
