"A Banner Day for Value-Based Care"

Mount Sinai Health Partners said yesterday it has created an accountable care organization alliance with Aetna. Mount Sinai isn't moving toward value-based care because of the pressure from regulators, said Niyum Gandhi, the system's chief population health officer. Several other value-based contracts with private insurers will be finalized in the next few months. "This is a core part of our strategy," Gandhi said.
