The Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Mount Sinai
The skilled surgeons and staff in the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery are experts in their field and treat both children and adults. Working in a highly-collaborative setting, our world-renowned surgeons couple their expertise with that of other specialists to provide highly technical, patient-centered care for all patients.
Reconstructive Surgical Services
Often, reconstructive surgery is needed after experiencing a trauma, such as cancer, or to correct a deformity at birth. Our highly-skilled surgeons provide the full spectrum of specialized reconstructive procedures to treat and correct any condition from oncoplastic surgery for breast conservation to hand surgery .
We are also proud to be part of the Mount Sinai Center for Transgender Medicine and Surgery, one of the first centers of its kind in the United States to provide the transgender community with comprehensive primary, specialty, surgical, and behavioral health care services. With surgical services led by Jess Ting, MD, Mount Sinai is now able to offer genital reassignment and cosmetic surgeries to the city’s historically underserved transgender population.
