Occupational Health Physician Consultations

Our board-certified occupational medicine physicians can advise on occupational health and safety considerations. Consultations may be conducted by telephone, email, and on-site.

Ergonomics and Injury Prevention

A certified ergonomist can help improve both comfort and performance while minimizing the risk of injury and lost work time. By providing personalized, targeted recommendations tailored to your work environment, they contribute to a healthier and more productive workspace.

Industrial Hygiene

Our industrial hygienists help employers to develop comprehensive and effective workplace health and safety programs through establishing policies and protocols, hazard assessment plans, as well as education and training programs. Our industrial hygiene team can design site-specific exposure monitoring programs for physical, biological, and chemical hazards and provide feasible recommendations to control or eliminate exposures. Learn more.

Mindfulness Programs

Our certified mindfulness educators help individuals cultivate these skills and develop self-awareness and resilience. Laboratory Health and Safety

We are dedicated to helping establish healthier, safer, and more productive work environments for laboratory personnel. Our team conducts pre-placement and vivarium medical clearance examinations for laboratory personnel working with research animals, biohazardous materials and organisms, and hazardous chemicals. In collaboration with laboratory managers and staff, we conduct risk assessments as well as develop and implement programs aimed at enhancing overall work quality and safety within laboratories. Occupational Health Education and Training

Education is an important part of keeping workers healthy and safe. Our occupational health and safety specialists lead seminars and trainings on a variety of topics with a focus on preventing workplace injuries and illnesses. These programs can be tailored to address the specific needs of workers and supervisors in various industries such as construction, health care, manufacturing, transportation, and professional and technical services.

Hearing Conservation Program

The Selikoff Centers for Occupational Health offers tailored hearing conservation programs for industries with noise exposure. Our on-site annual audiometric testing ensures convenience, while we help create OSHA-compliant hearing conservation programs based on best practices. Services include noise assessments, engineering and administrative control recommendations, PPE selection, and comprehensive recordkeeping for audiometric testing.

Disaster Preparedness Program

This program is designed for employers planning to deploy non-first responder employees to natural and man-made disaster areas to help with recovery efforts.

Drawing on our extensive experience with the World Trade Center Health Program for 9/11 first responders, rescue and recovery workers, gives us unique expertise to provide confidential medical evaluations as well as practical education for your employees, especially those without prior disaster relief training or experience. The evaluations include medical assessments, coordination of travel vaccines, medication recommendations, and deployment clearances. Additionally, we offer post-deployment support for your returning employees.
