Dr. Carolyn Brockington: "Spreading the Word about Stroke"

According to the National Stroke Association, someone in the United States has a stroke every 40 seconds. Doctors say they affect more women than men. In fact strokes kill twice as many women each year as breast cancer. Carolyn Brockington, MD, is the director of the Stroke Center at Mount Sinai Roosevelt and Mount Sinai St. Luke's in New York City. She sits down with Tamron Hall and Willie Geist to discuss stroke prevention. "The interesting thing is that people don't think strokes occur in younger people. They think it happens when you get older but really that's not true," says Dr. Brockington, "Everyone should know the signs and symptoms of a stroke and what to do about it." Learn more
