Kumar Chatani has more than 30 years of experience in health information technology and business management, including many years of integrated expertise in healthcare, which has been evident during his short tenure with Mount Sinai as Senior Vice President of Information Technology & Chief Information Officer. In this interview, Mr. Chatani discusses his preparatory plan for Hurricane Sandy and where Mount Sinai hopes to take its IT initiatives in 2013. "The IT department was ready for Hurricane Sandy because we had two days of warning," said Chatani. "After Hurricane Irene in 2011, Mount Sinai began methodically preparing for another natural disaster situation.
