In just the first few months of 2019, the Mount Sinai Health System has already launched more technology-based initiatives than most other hospitals and health systems will all year. The tech updates include: a partnership with the Hasso Plattner Institute, a Center for Computational Immunology, the appointment of Andrew Kasarskis, PhD, to Chief Data Officer, the Hamilton and Amabel James Center for Artificial Intelligence and Human Health, a $27.8 million contract from the Department of Defense, and the Digital and AI-Enabled Pathology Center of Excellence.
