Most Creative People 2014: 41. Joel Dudley
Joel Dudley, PhD, Assistant Professor of Genetics and Genomic Sciences, and Director of Biomedical Informatics at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, does research that uses network modeling to predict which cancer therapies could be most effective based on the unique molecular pattern of tumors. "Creativity can help break down the artificial barriers that we have in medicine. We see medical specialties as being very different and very disconnected from each other, but it's all connected,” said Dr. Dudley.
