Several physician members of the combined Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Mount Sinai Morningside and Mount Sinai West have practice offices near Mount Sinai Morningside. Affiliated with the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is committed to the teaching and training of new physicians. In addition, our physician faculty and trainees are involved in research to fuel evidence-based diagnosis and treatment options in obstetrics and gynecology.

The dedicated, expert gynecologists and obstetrician-gynecologists of Mount Sinai Morningside offer a full range of gynecologic care, as well as prenatal care and routine obstetric care.

Gynecology Care 

The Mount Sinai Morningside gynecologists provide the full range of expert care in general gynecology, from primary care to the latest treatments for gynecologic problems. Routine care includes general well-woman gynecology exams, Pap smears, and sexually transmitted disease screening, and comprehensive birth control methods with concomitant counseling. A family-planning specialist offers a full range of gynecology services as well.

In addition to routine gynecologic care, the Mount Sinai Morningside gynecologists provide total diagnosis and treatment for a range of non-cancerous gynecologic problems, including adenomyosis, adnexal masses, endometriosis, fibroids, and pelvic pain.

We perform all ultrasound and other imaging in your doctor’s office or at Mount Sinai Morningside. If you require surgical treatment, your doctor will perform the surgery at Mount Sinai Morningside, with its dedicated, expert staff of nurses and other clinicians.

Please pre-register for gynecologic surgery at Mount Sinai Morningside. Gather your insurance information beforehand. Simply follow the prompts in the form. Make sure to specify you are pre-registering for surgery and the hospital where you are planning to have your procedure.

Care for Low-Risk Pregnancy

Mount Sinai Morningside obstetrician-gynecologists provide comprehensive care during low-risk pregnancies. We perform almost all prenatal visits in your doctor’s office or at Mount Sinai Morningside. Your physician, or one of her/his colleagues, will attend your labor and delivery in the fully appointed Obstetric Service facilities at Mount Sinai West.

When you have decided to give birth with us and have chosen an obstetrician, at your earliest opportunity, please register for obstetric admission. Please gather your insurance information and the insurance information of anyone who bears or shares financial responsibility for your care.

On the registration page, sign up for a new account, and then sign in. The site will guide you through all the forms necessary for registering to deliver your baby at Mount Sinai West, including documenting your insurance coverage. If you begin the process and find you are missing information, you can always return to the site and start again. After submitting your form, the Mount Sinai West Department of Admissions will send you confirmation of your preadmission.
