Mount Sinai Health System appointed Andrew Kasarskis, PhD, to Executive Vice President and Chief Data Officer. In his new role, Dr. Kasarskis will oversee data accessibility and sharing, open application development and digital asset transparency and use. He also will support entrepreneurial activities at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Dr. Kasarskis previously served as Director of the Icahn Institute for Genomics and Multiscale Biology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. As a biologist, he has 20 years of experience in overseeing research and technology development projects centered on software engineering, drug development and human and mouse genetics.
