Community Health Fair: A Day Of Fun
Queens families enjoyed a free day of fun while focusing on health and exercise at the annual Community Health Fair, held on June 2, and sponsored by Mount Sinai Queens and the United Community Civic Association (UCCA). It was a festive atmosphere with umbrella tables and chairs dotting the center area, and the periphery surrounded by booths manned by representatives from Queens Library, Long Island City YMCA, the city Department of Correction, Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, Healthy Summer Eating, Health First, Visiting Nurse Service of New York and North Queens Homeowners Association of Jackson Heights. There were also free screening stations for cholesterol, glucose, asthma, and bone density, among others. Learn more
