The Dubin Breast Center is pleased to offer you a range of psychosocial support services. We want to make your experience as stress-free as possible. Our team combines compassion and clinical skill to provide care in the following areas:
Social Work Services
Our Breast Health Resource Program is committed to meeting your practical and emotional needs. We offer information, guidance, and support.
Psychology Services
Cancer and its treatment can take a tremendous toll on your quality of life. Our psychologists offer state-of-the-art, evidence-based, clinical services to strengthen and heal your mind, body, and spirit. We provide treatments, services, and workshops to help you cope with pain, illness, and stress and to promote wellness, comfort, and healing.
Our psychological services are intended to complement traditional medical care. We want to help you manage the rigors of breast cancer, from diagnosis through survivorship. There is no right way to cope with breast cancer. You need to find your own path. We are here to help. All of the psychologists are licensed, fully credentialed and have specialized training with cancer patients and survivors. Services include:
- Emotional distress management (e.g., anxious and depressed mood)
- Side-effect management (e.g., pain, nausea, and fatigue)
- Stress management
- Weight management
- Smoking cessation
- Family therapy
- Couples therapy
Psychiatry Services
We are committed to helping you with health issues that arise from or are related to breast cancer. To this end, we offer psychiatry services on site. Your Dubin physician can refer you to our psychiatrist for assessment of depression, anxiety, or other psychiatric concerns. To ensure appropriate referral, please discuss these issues with your Dubin health care team.
