Mount Sinai Health System sees clinical and financial benefit in hospital supply-chain software developed by Jump Technologies. The health system’s venture arm participated in Jump's $2 million follow-on Series B funding, along with lead investor, New York-based Black Granite Capital, and additional investors. Mount Sinai is also a Jump customer, using the JumpStock solution to reduce stock-outs of high-cost health care supplies and carrying costs of inventory. "We can now actually see what the total cost of care is," said Brent Stackhouse, vice president of Mount Sinai Ventures. He added that Ventures sees more potential in investing in business-to-business solutions rather than consumer-oriented services or products.
