After age 60, the brain typically begins shrinking, but that doesn't have to happen to you. A new study shows that following a Mediterranean diet helps stave off dementia, says geriatric medicine specialist Audrey Chun, MD, of the Icahn School of Medicine.  And the great news is you don't have to completely change your diet: Just 1/3 cup of nuts and 5 Tbs. of olive oil daily was shown to boost brain health.
