Most dads will say they'd do anything for their kids, and that's especially true for a local dad who donated a kidney to his young son. “You’ve only got one chance to grow your kidneys,” said Jeffrey Saland, MD, Chief of Pediatric Nephrology, and Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. “So even after birth when you relieve that blockage, the kidneys are left having not developed normally.
