Dr. Sam Gandy: "High Estrogen Levels Plus Diabetes May Boost Dementia Risk"
Older women with high levels of the hormone estrogen may be at a greater risk for dementia, especially if they also have diabetes, new research suggests. Sam Gandy, MD, PhD, Mount Sinai Professor in Alzheimer's Research, Professor of Neurology and Psychiatry, and Associate Director of Alzheimer's Disease Research Center at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai said, "It's a very interesting study.
