"Ask Spine Surgeons" is a weekly series of questions posed by Becker’s Spine Review to spine surgeons around the country about clinical, business and policy issues affecting spine care. In this edition, spine surgeons were asked what they thought the best professional advice they had ever received was. "The best professional advice I ever received was to have strict indications for when to operate and when not to operate, and to make sure patients fully understand the goals of their treatment plan," said Sheeraz Qureshi, MD, Assistant Professor of Spinal Surgery at The Mount Sinai Hospital.
