Pediatric Critical Care
The Alice Gottesman Bayer Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at the Kravis Children’s Hospital at Mount Sinai opened in December 2012. Our unit consists of 16 ICU beds and five telemetry beds, averaging 900 admissions per year. Our staff works closely with the Pediatric Cardiac ICU (PCICU), which is also located on the third floor of the Kravis Children’s Hospital. We care for pediatric patients from infants through 21 years of age. Our unit provides technologically advanced, high quality care and is an active participant in many quality assurance initiatives ongoing throughout the Kravis Children’s Hospital. Along with state-of- the-art health care, our entire staff is committed to compassionate patient and family-centered care.
