The Bridge Program

The Bridge Program is dedicated to providing integrated care for female patients facing substance use disorders (SUDs) or those at risk for SUDs. Addiction is a common problem among pregnant people. It can lead to devastating results for parents, children and communities.

Led by a specialized provider trained in Addiction Medicine and Obstetrics & Gynecology, this program offers a safe and non-stigmatizing space for women seeking comprehensive care. We specialize in the treatment of pregnant people who have a history of addiction, use or misuse to any substance including nicotine, alcohol, opioids, and other drugs or lives with someone who does. We also welcome patients who are not currently pregnant or using substances but are in need of OB/GYN care.

Whether you have an established SUD, are at risk, or seek HIV prevention through PrEP, The Bridge Program offers routine outpatient OBGYN treatment, addiction treatment, and consultation services, ensuring that every patient receives the personalized care they deserve.

We provide the following services:

  • Consultation services for pregnant patients with SUDs
  • Comprehensive outpatient OBGYN treatment, including PrEP
  • Gynecological and obstetrical services
  • Treatment and support for SUDs
  • Referrals

If you are someone who has conceived or thinking about conceiving and have been affected by substance use, the Bridge Program provides compassionate services to patients seeking health care.

The Bridge Program is the first step on a path to better and more inclusive health care. We understand that it is important to develop a strong foundation of trust in the doctor and patient relationship. To schedule an appointment with the Bridge Program, email us at thebridge@mountsinai.org.
