- Unit Chief for the Inpatient Addictions Program at Mount Sinai Beth Israel
We are currently seeking a highly motivated, forward-thinking, and team-oriented psychiatrist for the position of Unit Chief, Inpatient Addictions Program at the Mount Sinai Beth Israel Campus. The Unit Chief will serve as an attending physician to evaluate and treat patients as part of a multidisciplinary team in close collaboration with physician assistants. The service is a teaching site for psychiatry residents, medical students and psychologists. Exciting opportunities to participate in clinical research are also available. The Unit Chief will lead a multidisciplinary team that provides care to individuals with substance use disorders. The successful candidate will also be responsible for teaching the multidisciplinary staff best practices in psychiatry and addiction treatment and participate in teaching and supervising medical students, residents, and fellows. This role is 80% clinical, 10% teaching, and 10% administrative.
- Addiction Medicine or Addiction Psychiatrist for Opioid Treatment Program
The Mount Sinai Health System is seeking per diem physicians for our Mount Sinai Beth Israel Opioid Treatment Programs (OTPs). The successful candidate will provide medical evaluation and treatment services, including providing appropriate induction and maintenance pharmacotherapy for opioid use disorder (methadone and buprenorphine). Candidates should have fellowship training in addiction medicine/addiction psychiatry, and/or be graduates of internal medicine or family medicine training programs with previous clinical experience in providing medication-assisted treatment for people with opioid use disorders. Per diem coverage arrangement may be flexible (i.e., set hours or days per month, or for week/month blocks).
