Dr. J Mocco: “Up Close: Brain Aneurysm Awareness”

Following his wife’s sudden death from a ruptured brain aneurysm, Todd Crawford started raising money for brain aneurysm research and working to spread information about the condition. J Mocco, MD, a professor of neurosurgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, provides commentary and expert advice on the symptoms and risk factors for brain aneurysms as well as a look into ongoing research. “This is one of those diseases that is particularly striking, because it hurts young people,” said Dr. Mocco. “This is not that different from when we were notifying the world in the 70s and 80s that chest pain and arm heaviness are warning signs of a heart attack.” Learn more
