Healthy Living May Slow Early Dementia
A program that emphasizes healthy eating, brain and social engagement, physical activity and heart health may slow dementia among people at risk for Alzheimer’s disease, said a new preliminary report. "I think the evidence is that this delays onset for people who don’t have it,” said Sam Gandy, PhD, Professor of Neurology and Psychiatry, and Associate Director of the Mount Sinai Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
