Victor Cruz faces a long, grueling rehabilitation, a process that will take at least nine months and offers hope but no assurances he will end up as good as new, after he underwent surgery Monday to repair the torn patella tendon in his right knee. “How well he does depends on a number of factors,’’ said James Gladstone, MD, the Co-Chief of Sports Medicine, Associate Professor of Sports Medicine and Orthopedics at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
