FDA Proposes Cancer Warnings on Tanning Beds - Amir Khan
A new FDA proposal would require warnings on all tanning beds indicating that they are dangerous for children under the age of 18 because of their cancer risk. While the proposal would not ban teenagers from using the products, it would require the cancer warnings on all machines, something Joshua Zeichner, MD, director of cosmetic and clinical research in the department of dermatology and assistant professor of dermatology at The Mount Sinai Medical Center, said is a step in the right direction.
