"Mount Sinai Queens Director Honored By SAVI"
Caryn A. Schwab, Executive Director of Mount Sinai Queens, was honored by The Mount Sinai Sexual Assault and Violence Intervention (SAVI) program on November 13 at a benefit cocktail reception at The University Club in Manhattan. Liz Securro, author, rape survivor and activist, was also honored. Founded in 1984 at The Mount Sinai Medical Center, the program also educates the public and professional communities regarding services and critical issues surrounding rape, sexual assault and domestic violence. "Caryn Schwab has been a stalwart supporter of SAVI," said Wayne Keathley, President and Chief Operating Officer of The Mount Sinai Hospital. "Thanks to her leadership, the hospital-based rape crisis center at Mount Sinai Queens is dedicated to being a center of excellence in all areas that support survivors of sexual and domestic partner violence. Her support has helped SAVI's onsite staff and advocates meet the needs of a diverse community in Queens." Learn more
