"Officer Eder Loor, Stabbed in Head, Leaves Hospital After Amazing Recovery"
Hero NYPD cop Eder Loor left the hospital Wednesday to celebrate his daughter’s fifth birthday - just two weeks after a deranged attacker plunged a knife in his brain. "I’m just happy I’m alive," the 28-year-old officer said as he exited The Mount Sinai Medical Center in a wheelchair pushed by his partner, Officer Luckson Merisme. The lone sign of his near-death experience was a six-inch scar snaking from near his forehead to the back of skull. Dr. Joshua Bederson, who performed the delicate surgery to save Loor’s life on April 17, said the wheelchair was just a formality. One day earlier, the recovering cop went for a jog through Central Park. "I don’t know when he’ll be running his next marathon, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he did that someday," said Dr. Bederson.
