"Keep It Simple - What Endocrinologists Really Need to Know About PCOS" - Eugenia Yun

There has been a lot of confusion among endocrinologists about which are the appropriate diagnostic criteria for polycystic ovary syndrome. “I talked about the essential endocrine workup to diagnose patients with the endocrine features of PCOS or the metabolic features of PCOS and the testing that they really need to do,” said Andrea Dunaif, MD, chief of the Hilda and J. Lester Gabrilove division of endocrinology, diabetes and bone disease at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, about her talk at ENDO 2019, The Endocrine Society’s annual meeting. “We can be very simple in our evaluation and much better serve our patients with an effective diagnosis and management plan.”
