"Medical Schools Begin to Add Climate Change Training to Curriculum"

A handful of medical, nursing and pharmacy schools are facing pressure from doctors, industry organizations and students to incorporate climate-change-related topics into their curriculum. The schools that have added content related to climate change believe physicians need to be prepared to deal with the health effects of rising temperatures, air pollution and extreme weather. Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City is one of the programs in the nation that have added related content so far.
