The Mount Sinai Hospital is seeking state Health Department approval for a $1.7 million relocation and expansion of its sleep-disorders lab amid growing demand for services and limited space at its current site. The hospital proposes to renovate 4,707 square feet on the first floor of the Klingenstein Clinical Center on the Mount Sinai campus, space that is now used for outpatient gerontology services, according to its certificate-of-need application. The lab is presently located on the building's fourth floor.
