First-year student, Kipp Johnson, to begin his two-year term in July.
Kipp Johnson, MD/PhD candidate at Icahn School of Medicine, was elected as a one of two Student Directors to the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) Board of Directors. Mr. Johnson will serve a two-year term on the board, which deals with issues and concerns of students transitioning from undergraduate to graduate medical education.
The NRMP is a private, non-profit organization, that uses a computerized mathematical algorithm to match the preferences of graduating medical students with the preferences of program directors in order to fill training positions available at U.S. teaching hospitals.
