Magnet Accreditation

Three Mount Sinai Health System hospitals have received renewed national recognition for excellence in nursing from the American Nurses Credentialing Center's (ANCC) Magnet Recognition Program®. The Mount Sinai Hospital achieved Magnet® designation for the fifth consecutive time. Mount Sinai Queens and Mount Sinai South Nassau were recognized for the third time.

Newsweek World's Best Hospitals 2025

The Mount Sinai Hospital was ranked by Newsweek/Statista as No. 19 in the world, No. 7 nationally, No. 1 in New York State, and No. 1 in New York City on its The World’s Best Hospitals 2025 list. 

Newsweek World's Best Specialized Hospitals 2025

The Mount Sinai Hospital has earned positions in the fifth edition of the World’s Best Specialized Hospitals 2025 by Newsweek. This recognition identifies and honors the very best hospitals around the globe in several specialties.

Newsweek World's Best Smart Hospitals 2025

The Mount Sinai Hospital ranks No. 1 among full-service hospitals in New York City and No. 6 in the United States by Newsweek on its World’s Best Smart Hospitals 2025 rankings. Mount Sinai Morningside was also among the top-ranked in “World’s Best Smart Hospitals” (No. 3 among New York City full-service hospitals).

U.S. News & World Report Best Hospitals

The Mount Sinai Hospital is listed on the U.S. News & World Report® “Best Hospitals Honor Roll” for 2024-25 for the 9th consecutive year. The Honor Roll commends the country’s top 20 hospitals, out of approximately 4,500 evaluated by U.S. News.

The Mount Sinai Hospital received top-20 rankings in the following specialties: Cancer, Cardiology/Heart Surgery, Diabetes & Endocrinology, Gastroenterology & GI Surgery, Geriatrics, Neurology/Neurosurgery, Obstetrics & Gynecology, and Urology.

Mount Sinai Venture Named to Fast Company’s Annual List of the World’s Most Innovative Companies for 2021

Mount Sinai Health System announced today that Kantaro Biosciences, LLC, a joint venture with RenalytixAI, has been named to Fast Company’s prestigious annual list of the “World’s Most Innovative Companies” for 2021 and ranked first in the Joint Ventures category. Mount Sinai launched Kantaro in May 2020 to develop and scale production and distribution of a test kit to measure the presence and precise levels of COVID-19 antibodies.
