Susan Marx Mashni

Senior Vice President, Chief Pharmacy Officer, Mount Sinai Health System

Susan Marx Mashni, PharmD, is Senior Vice President, Chief Pharmacy Officer, Mount Sinai Health System, a position she has held since 2018, and Assistant Professor of Medicine, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She oversees 850 members of the Health System’s pharmacy team and an $800 million drug budget. Previously, Dr. Mashni worked at Mercy Health, a large Catholic health care system with locations in Ohio and Kentucky, where she served as Chief Pharmacy Officer and as Drug Policy Development Director.

Prior to these positions, Dr. Mashni served as Clinical Pharmacy Manager at Catholic Healthcare Partners (now Mercy Health). She began her career as a clinical pharmacist, holding positions at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, and University of Cincinnati Hospital (now UC Medical Center).

Dr. Mashni is a member of multiple boards, including the Epic Pharmacy National Advisory Board; the AmerisourceBergen National Advisory Board; Long Island University College of Pharmacy Board of Directors; and the University of Cincinnati College of Pharmacy Advisory Board. She is an alumna of The Ohio State University, where she received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
